Lame Delegation
I seemingly have a lame delegation setup that somehow got copied from my previous registrar when migrating to CF. There is no way to modify this record via the registration settings or from the free DNS account. I've not gotten a reply to my ticket I've had open for 3 weeks now and its starting to become an issue.
I'm pretty sure I can't fix this myself from the googling I've done but any ideas/info would help.
Basically you can see it here:
https://intodns.com/whenparked.com
I have A records to point those to my new DNS server, but the glue won't/can't update after transferring registrars.
Direct query has the updated IP:
Note, this is not the private DNS thing that is a business plan option as I am not attempting to white label CF's DNS services, but rather manage my own.
The domain was transferred over a month ago and is fully within CF's system now.
Any ideas or info or do I really need to wait for another 3 weeks to get this resolved?

I've not gotten a reply to my ticket I've had open for 3 weeks nowIs that a Cloudflare ticket? If so, can you share the ticket number? Following the problem I'm also a little bit lost, are you able to clarify what action Cloudflare could take to resolve it?
2994757 is the ticket number
And I'm not entirely sure. either delete the glue record or update it as I need. I have zero control over it as cloudflare is my registrar and doesn't appear to expose any control to change it. It its there, stuck with the wrong option, and I can't do anything about it, so I assume CF must be able to.
I did find a community post somewhere tat mentioned needing to contact support to have it updated, but as i mentioned my ticket has been open for 3 weeks now
Could you link to the community post?
I'm reviewing the ticket now but any action likely will need to wait until Monday at least (which thankfully is just tomorrow at this point)
Let me see if I can't find it, it was nearly a month ago.

I understand that and the request is perfectly fine, I am merely trying to explain to you why Cloudflare is the wrong contact in your particular case and - even if it were applicable - it might be anyhow unlikely that Cloudflare will implement your request - at least in the near future. As for a feature request, it is perfectly fine 🙂
That is not related to glue records however. Currently Cloudflare simply does not allow different nameservers if you are using the registrar service. Glue records would only be necessary if you want to use nameservers under the very domain where you want to set them and that is currently already possible, requires a Business plan however.
Thanks, I reviewed the information in the ticket and have a much better understanding of what's going on now. I routed the ticket to the Registrar team's queue and will follow up with them personally tomorrow to make sure it's taken care of
Thanks a lot Erisa!
Its a weird issue as most the information is about the DNS side not the registrar side.

Just kinda checking in on this, never got a reply to the ticket, but don't know how long I should expect to wait
I ended up looking into this myself, trying to juggle it along with everything else, sorry for the delay
Okay that took way longer than it needed to but I know what to do now
Really appreciate you Erisa!
No worries and really sorry again for the trouble here, let me know if you need anything else in future
Should be good to go now
Confirmed on my end also! Thanks so much Erisa
