Internal speakers for Steam Deck not detected
I decided to try Bazzite for my Steam Deck today. I installed Bazzite using the latest image released today (v2.0.0) from Github and chose the
bazzite-deck
image. After install the internal speakers are not detected and the only audio devices shown in the Steam Big Picture UI are "auto_null" and "External device". I checked the rpm-ostree image and noticed it was on bazzite-deck:38
so I bumped it to bazzite-deck:latest
, but the issue persists.Solution:Jump to solution
Just an update: I can confirm that manually updating my BIOS to v119 (linked in the above GitHub issue) fixes my non-working audio and touchscreen.

There is an issue on the bazzite GitHub that seems to match the issue I'm experiencing: https://github.com/ublue-os/bazzite/issues/511

Looks like my issue may actually be due to the BIOS. I don't recall having this issue until installing Bazzite, but I also hadn't used my Steam Deck for maybe about a week? I know I did a "Load Optimal Defaults" at one point recently and at the moment, my audio and touch screen both don't work, which is exactly the issue listed here: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/SteamOS/issues/1147

Any possibility we could get an update to the jupiter bios updater to version 119, which supposedly fixes this issue?
