Junior professorship for “Intelligent and secure IIoT networks”
Two central competencies are required for a professorship at a university of applied sciences: special ability for scientific work and in-depth practical experience. In this cooperation, Offenburg University of Applied Sciences and the Hahn-Schickard Society for Applied Research eV are opening up an innovative post-doc career path to a university professorship at a university.
Full-time - limited to 3 years - work locations in Offenburg, Villingen-Schwenningen and/or Freiburg - remuneration according to TV-L E 14 - to be filled as soon as possible - code number 921
With the HSO you qualify for teaching and research:
* You will independently take on teaching tasks in the areas of network technology, system programming and applied artificial intelligence in bachelor's and master's degree programs.
* You will independently build a teaching and research laboratory around intelligent and secure IIoT networks. You will be responsible for further developing our research profile.
* You independently supervise final and project theses, prepare scientific papers and write specialist articles for national and international journals.
With the Hahn-Schickard Society for Applied Research eV you will gain practical experience in applied research as a group leader:
* You define research topics and strategies in the area of intelligent and secure IIoT networks.
* You will build and coordinate a research group, including personnel management, acquisition of funding and scientific publications.
* You work in interdisciplinary teams.
You bring with you:
* a completed academic university education (master’s or comparable)
* a doctorate in electrical engineering, computer science or comparable disciplines that has already been successfully completed or is expected to be successfully completed within the next six months
* In-depth knowledge of communication technology and IIoT, data security and embedded systems
* Initial experience in structuring project work and, preferably, in leading a project team
* ideally experience in the conception, implementation and validation of intelligent and secure IIoT networks
* very good knowledge of German and English
* Goal orientation and strong communication skills
* Enjoy solving challenging and varied tasks
