these 18 east pants felt absolutely insane when i bought them, i felt like i was wearing clown pants they were so baggy. but i love 'em and the silhouette they give me and they made me embrace not just wider fits but way wider fits
Pleats really. I wore a lot of shorts, fatigues/cargo pants, and hiking pants for a lot of years. Chinos always felt really stuffy to me and pleats were definitely in the realm of being much too “formal”. Now I wear this pair like they’re jeans, and I’m even leaning into Ivy a bit.
Maybe that first western shirt too, even though I’d spent a lot of my life in the western half of the states I always felt like they were kind of cheesy until I picked that up.
This is basically this month's development but parachute pants slot in so easily with my eardrobe, by extent, it's shifted my frame of reference for bagginess and affirmed a few things I wanted to do/buy over winter
Bought these Jan Jan Van Essche trousers with very little in my wardrobe to support them, but they remain one of the pairs I reach for the most after ~4+ years. Many of the pieces I bought just after this are still in my closet, but my tastes have refined a lot since then. Probably due for a purge of some old stuff soon (keeping the pants though).
May i ask where these are from? In the market for a new pair since i blew the ass out of my last ones 😅
These are the universal works double pleats
