What are some base suit Vests I need to add in my collection
such as patterns

suit vests are a bad look when they arent originally part of the suit

three pieces are nice and all but making a two piece a three piece wont look right

Three piece suits are kind of out of fashion anyway. You are better off dropping the vest entirely unless you really know what you are doing
Odd vests are difficult to do right. None are really essential to most people in 2023
Three piece suits are in-fashion here in Tokyo. The well-dressed, fashion forward young professionals wear three-piece suits. The dudes look like they read Mens Ex religiously lmao
With that said, I would not wear an odd vest with my suit. Or wear a three-piece in a situation that’s not ~super formal~. I will concede that it looks a little costume-ey (when done incorrectly)
