and i have Physic mod
can you show your physics mod file?
my physics mod file ??
yes, in the mods folder
ah actually, you need sodium 0.4.10 and iris 1.6.4. valkyrien skies doesn't support sodium 0.5.x. You also need the physics mod file
physics-mod-pro-v163-fabric-1.20.1_sodium_0.4.10.jar
from the Patreoni remove Indium ??
get the version of indium that's compatible with 0.4.10
what is the comptatible version?
Modrinth
Indium 1.0.21 for Minecraft 1.20.1/Sodium 0.4.10/Fabric API 0.88 - ...
Download Indium 1.0.21+mc1.20.1 on Modrinth. Supports 1.20.1 Fabric & Quilt. Published on Jul 10, 2023. 96511 downloads.
thx 🙂
hm
I have this mods
you did not get the right version of physics mod
One important note is that if you want shaders + Valkyrien Skies you will need this version physics-mod-pro-v163-fabric-1.20.1_sodium_0.4.10.jar since Valkyrien Skies doesn't support the latest Sodium + Iris yet
yes
i have the good version now
and game continue crashing
are you sure you have the fabric version of VS? It has the same file name as the forge version
?
I on Fabric
yes but look here
also try without eureka
if it still fails to launch send the new crash report or latest.log if no crash was generated
euw yes
i have it

you don't have sodium and iris loaded?
yes, i have it
the log says you don't
try adding each mod one by one and launching every time in this order
- fabric api
- sodium 0.4.10
- iris 1.6.4
- valkyrien skies 2.3.0 beta 4
- physics mod pro v163 sodium 0.4.10
- eureka 1.3.0 beta 2
- indium 1.0.21
But if i add only Iris, Iris says "sodium was not detected*
because it depends on sodium.
How i can fix this error
try this and see at which point the mods conflict
but i can't, When i place Iris, Iris says sodium was not detected, and when i place Indium, it says the error
I think you misunderstand. Add each of the mods in order and launch between adding them
don't remove any
I remove all mods, without Iris, Indium, Sodium?
remove all mods. add fabric api. test. add sodium. test. add iris. test. etc.
anyway, I've got to go to class. Someone else may be able to help if you run into more issues
Fabric API + Sodium
Fabric API + Sodium + Iris
Fabric API + Sodium + Iris + Indium
Fabric API + Sodium + Iris + Indium + Physics Mod Pro
Fabric API + Sodium + Iris + Indium + Physics Mod Pro + Valkyrien Skies
Result : Work
Sodium : 0.4.10
Iris : 1.6.4
Indium : 1.0.21
Fabric API : 0.90.0
Eureka : 1.3.0
Valkyrien Skies : 2.3.0
Physics mod : v163
Minecraft : 1.20.1
Use Fabric API 0.88.1 for Indium 1.0.21 to work
hey so my minecraft keeps crashing whenever i try loading iris. minecraft launcher itself doesnt load
a friend said i can load iris without sodium but it doesnt let me
you need sodium. Your friend is wrong
i guessed that - but iris universal has it, right?
its the same exit code -1
how are you trying to use iris
how do you mean?
what method are you using to load iris
through a fabric loader if thats what you mean
any other mods?
i have a bunch of other mods installed as well, yes
should i send a list?
one or more of them may be incompatible with sodium/iris
try with only sodium and iris in the mods folder
your latest.log may help
how do i open that? and how does it help?
logs folder inside your .minecraft directory
im really sorry im just not very knowledgeable when it comes to shaders
it shows information about your game
including loaded mods
i have found it, but it doesnt let me open the actual log
just send the file here
and click yes on the prompt that follows

i think i sent it
remove supplementaries
it's incompatible
is that the only one?
it's what caused the crash. If there's another mod that has an issue it will only crash if supplementaries is removed
i have another question, do i need the iris mods in both the .irislauncher folder AND .minecraft?
or only one
I'm not sure what .irislauncher is. You only need sodium and iris in the mods folder in .minecraft
alright thanks
ill try launching it and get back to you
this is showing now
is it because that mod is on the server?
yes
do i need supplementaries to log on?
should i try on a single player?
yes, I believe supplementaries is a server mod required by the client
okay and if i remove supplementaries from the server?
you should
I can't attest to the stability of the world when a content mod gets removed. Everything from supplementaries will be removed though
i havent added anything to the world with that mod yet
should it work?
yeah it should be fine
ive loaded it before but nothing actually added
okay so its still crashing?
i tried another world
and it crashed
send the new crash report or latest.log
latest.log

sent it
this log doesn't say which mod is causing the crash, but iirc comforts also is incompatible with sodium
ive seen people play then together though? or is that impossible
hm, well then you'll have to do a binary split to see which mod is causing this crash
The Thanos Method
What is The Thanos Method?
- The Thanos Method (more accurately known as a binary split) is a debugging technique used to find the mod or mods that are causing the issues you are experiencing.
How does it work?
- The Thanos Method is simple. To find the conflicting mods, split your mods folder into 2 groups. Remove one group, and test in-game. Keep the group that has the problem, and repeat until no more mods can be removed without the issue disappearing. Thanks to The Thanos Method, you can now enjoy an issue free modded Minecraft!

if the launcher is loading then its not the shaders right?
after i removed supplementaries the loader opened, even letting me log onto a server
the launcher will always load, regardless of mods
but it crashed after a while
sorry i meant the list of worlds i have
so the actual game
yeah some other mod is conflicting with sodium or iris when joining a world
supplementaries was causing a crash on startup
well thank you so much for figuring that much out, i was going insane !
no worries, I hope you find which mod is causing the issue 🙂
thanks

Some mod in here is trying to use frapi, try installing indium
oh im so sorry - i thought it was a topic i could reply to
would installing this stop the crashes? and would i be able to use all the mods i have on?
Not sure, but there's a chance. It would definitely fix one of the errors in the log.
uh my game is crashing even after i have removed the shaders that were crashing it
it wasnt doing that before
what should i do?
the shaders won't crash your game, it's the mods
it works for a while but when i open resource packs it crashes
but it was working fine before
latest.log

this is the log ^ please help as i really need to understand why its crashing
try installing indium as Mithos mentioned
even when im not using the shaders? as in dont have iris and sodium in the mods folder?
also is it a client based mod?
it is client sided yes
and if you're crashing without sodium and iris you have some other issue
other issues?
would indium not help then?
is it one of the mods?
likely not. Indium is an addon for sodium
[23:55:07] [Worker-Main-14/ERROR]: Caught exception in thread Thread[Worker-Main-14,5,main] java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap spaceI found the issue :haha_yes:
ah you might need to increase your RAM allocation
huh?
how do i do that?
you're running out of RAM
go to your launcher > installations > your mod install
in your launcher, go to installations. CLick the three dots next to your instance, and edit. In the advanced settings, change the "2G" in the text box to something higher
scroll down to advanced options, in jvm arguments where it says
-Xmx2G
you can change it to something elselike 4 or 6
where
2G
is 2 gigabytes of ramshould that work?
yeah should be enough
ideally you want your RAM usage (top right in F3 menu) to cap at around 75%
the 67%?
the upper one
53?
but really anything up to 8 gb works
anything past that and you'll run into stutters
will this help the shaders too?
the sodium crash is unrelated and indium could fix it
okay so its not crashing anymore !! at least without the shaders added, which is my main concern
ah yeah you have continuity and it depends on indium if you have sodium
genuinely thank you guys so so much for being so patient with me - im so sorry to be bothering you guys, this is my first time playing modded and even running a server so im a bit lost
no worries, everyone is new to it at some point
ill try install this then
what version of indium should i install? iris is 1.6.10 and sodium is 0.5.3
Modrinth
Indium 1.0.27 for Minecraft 1.20.x/Sodium 0.5.3/Fabric API 0.89+ - ...
Download Indium 1.0.27+mc1.20.1 on Modrinth. Supports 1.20.1–1.20.2 Fabric & Quilt. Published on Sep 23, 2023. 305120 downloads.
alright thank you ! once i add it to my folder, along with iris and sodium, can i leave the rest of my mods in? or will they still be incompatible
supplementaries I think will still be incompatible
i see, okay
okay - they work !! thank you so much for that :D
now i just need to figure out removing supplementaries from the server so i can log on without spoiling anything
what does that have to do with lucachinou's problem
