Is decky loader safe on bazzite?
Will it mess up my system? Are there addons that only work on steamos?

Nah, it's fine. No extensions I'm aware of that don't work but YMMV
On its own, no. the worst ive ever seen Decky do is uninstall itself after certain updates (this is on SteamOS too)
obviously make sure you trust the plugins since those are maintained by 3rd parties
ok good to know. does it only modofy $HOME or does it install other places too. Does decky require your username to be "deck"?

decky loader is on offer in bazzite portal
if you install it manually, use prerelease
stable release doesn't work w/ selinux

I heard about the plugin "Powertools" messed up someone's system. Is it safe now?
nothing powertools does is permanent
it was broken on newer SteamOS/our releases but it's been fixed since then
broken meaning it coudn't apply it's tweaks
