Massive FPS drop since installing
I usually get around 250 FPS and now its dropped to 20 FPS. It does this with or without a shader turned on. Running on a GTX 1070 with updated drivers.
Help would be appreciated please.

try turning off vsync
nope

hmm could you try installing iris and sodium as fabric mods instead of a launcher profile?
not sure what you mean by that, but choosing the frabric option in the launcher just gives me this error window. This is off a fresh install from the Iris .jar installer off the website

it means your fabric api version is for a version other than 1.20.2
you can just remove fabric api since iris and sodium have it bundled in their jars
where would I removed that
the mods folder
alright, launched with fabric and it still is low FPS even with shaders off. Second image is Vanilla for comparison

this is pretty odd
Its like its not using my GPU fully. MSI doesn't even recognize the iris version for a game overaly
yet the first image says 95% usage with 18 fps and the second is 48% usage with 100 fps
I find that MSI/RivaTuner is not accurate when it comes to GPU utilization. Mine shows that only 50% of my GPU is under load while both task manager and minecraft say 100%.
I just remembered that RivaTuner can cause horrible fps for some people with sodium and iris, due to something RivaTuner did on their end. Try closing it out
That was it

I don't have this issue, and someone else who switched to the same versions of Afterburner and RivaTuner that I have, the problem went away for them. These are my versions

okay, thank you I'll check that out
you're welcome!
glad the issue was identified
