this sounds completely unrelated to iris/sodium
the cause is the badpackets mod
removing it should fix your issue
plus, this problem only seems to affect world creation. once created, you should be able to launch the world and not get that error. At least that's what happened when I tried.
Alright I guess confirmation bias led me to think iris/sodium was related. Sometimes fussing with shaders helped it seemed like.
