Migrate database region (pre-beta)
I have a couple of applications running in oregon region. I have moved the web services to amsterdam and would like to also move the dbs (1 has mongo, 1 has pg, both on pre-beta i.e. non-service style). Is it possible or something railway can handle for me?

this unfortunately would be something you would need to do manually, both mongo and postgres have cli tools to dump and restore a database
hmmm, I was afraid of that
I guess I could try and do some follow replica magic
I think even gui tools like dbgate can clone databases too
i am struggling with even setting up a mongodb in amsterdam
I spin one up then change the region, confirm the downtime and then it fails 😦
seems the volume fails to be migrated
yeah I've seen that issue before, it is beta after all
gmail was in beta for 5 years
