First Layer defects
Hello all,
Could use some advice on my first layer. Getting these "boogers" on top of my first layer and can't figure out what's causing it. It's sticking up high enough the nozzle runs into it and potentially causes a layer shift
Printing PETG at 235C with a Mosquito hot end and Orbiter extruder. I have gone through calibrating my motor for the extruder already
Thanks!

That first layer looks to be too low. I guess the nozzle being dragged in the filament gathering plastic until a booger is released.
This what I do; Print a 30x100x0.4 box with fill pattern aligned with the short side or diagonally. Then increase nozzle height as the bottom layer is filled. Peel off and inspect. You should se the lines but almost not feel them. That is how I fine tune nozzle height. (extrusion width plays a role here too, too much can have similar effect)
