Cream, ivory, ecru, bone, eggshell, and sometimes stone and sand, and several other words I can't remember all more or less mean "tastefully off-white in a slightly gray-and-or-yellow direction." Some of them mean "more than slightly." It's all in the eye of the beholder. Actual cream of course is significantly whiter than most garments I see marked "cream" but it varies quite a bit.
