Spectacles recs
I recently had my optometrist tell me I need prescription glasses, does anyone have any good tips on what to look for? And also recommendations of brands/models for big heads?
I already went through the substacks in the guides section, and I am hoping to get some more personal suggestions and recommendations.
The one place I’m already planning to check out is Warby Parker, and also trying to avoid Luxxotica brands.
Located in Canada and nonspecific budget yet, as I have no frame of reference yet.

High quality eyecare and eyewear. Shop with Bailey Nelson for handcrafted frames including lenses from only $169. Eye exams available in all stores.
it looks like they have stores in canada
It looks like there’s a few stores that are very accesible to me. Thanks
I’ve purchased previously, good quality frames, lenses included in cost, generally fairly on trend
I have warby parker frames that I’ve been pleased with and have held up well. Zenni is also commonly listed as a place to get cheap frames
That's great to know about Warby Parker. There's a couple of locations near by as well, so I'll definitely be trying their frames. Zenni looks to be online only, at least here, and I think I'll stick to something I can try on in person for now, but thanks for the recs.
Yes, I do have my prescription, and the one local retailer around the corner for me carries Masunaga, so thanks for that. I'll keep an eye for JMM as well.
My buddy started a brand that recently put out some nice optical frames that could be an option! https://www.instagram.com/drypondeyewear/
Just mentioning there's a thread in #fashion-discussion , you might want to look through the recs if you haven't already https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1142235705402195990
Thank you, I'll definitely do that
