Thoughts on pants with a lace belt
Got these corduroy pants, they fit me really great but there's one thing: they can't fit a belt and have that cord instead. How can I dress it up without it looking awkward, is it a complete no no for a more formal look? Ty 🙂

Imo you can’t dress up draw string pants really at all. They can work for a like a lux casual look in the summer but there’s a pretty hard limit on how much they can be “dressed up” in terms of formality
Did you have ideas for how you wanted to wear them?
I'm mostly gonna wear it casual anyways with a shirt and sneakers
but was wondering if it could still work at all with a vest or a gilet and some more formal shoes
a shame they dont just have belt loops honestly lol I wouldve taken the string out and used a belt

I see Uniqlo has some but no black 😦

Update: I returned them and found some better black corduroy pants (for cheaper, too!)
