Wash on cold, tumble dry. Ideally I'd hang anything with buttons but that doesn't always happen

If it's "higher quality" then I hand wash with Woolite since when we wash, we wash in bulk and I don't want more shrunken clothes. After that, use my portable AC exhaust and a wire shelving rack to air dry. Dries a shirt in about an hour give or take.

A drying machine will cause wear and tear on your clothes. It will also cause them to shrink. Air drying preserves clothes the best.
drying also can cause glued interlinings on say, dress shirts, to wear out prematurely
