Pricing
Hey, first of all, I want to say the service is top notch, very easy to use π
I'm a CS student based in Israel, and currently hosting 2 small projects with the service.
I can't really say I have the extra 5$ per month for the Hobby plan,
and it seems like I don't use that much computing power anyway.
Is there an option to have a "pre-paid" plan or something like that?
Or maybe a student plan I don't know of?
Thanks, awesome stuff! π

There is a prepaid option but I don't think it exempts you from the 5 dollars a month
Yes, exactly π¦
railway student discount when? <:pensive_cry:805623704981733386>
Good luck with the portfolio @fragly
Thank you :D
Are you part of the official support team? Should I expect to hear from someone else as well?
I'm just part of the community, a conductor will probably see this and comment at some point though ( likely brody or vin )
There is a prepaid plan (credit-based plan) but it doesnβt exempt you from the 5$ a month subscription charge. However, the charge will come out of your credits rather than charging your card
Unfortunately Railway does not have a student plan atm
i mean bro technically you could subscribe for 1 month and cancel and live off of the 5$ in credits that you got as adam mentioned
no, thatβs not how it works
You need to pay 5$ each month for the subscription fee
yep the credits you get can only be used towards usage and don't carry over
if i subscribe for month1 with 5$, i cancel, i have 5$ credits and i use 1$ a month then it will keep running for 5 months no?
it doesn't carry over
you have to use the 5$ in that month?
you don't have to use anything, it just doesn't carry over
what doesnt carry over exactly, what are you referring to
i think we're not on the same page
the 5$ in usage credits you get every month
i see they dont get added to the credits available?
because they have been for me
they do, but only for that specific month
they are not accumulative
i see
because my subscription cost was 0$ and it was paid out of credits available for this month
are you on the usage based plan or the credit based plan
because the credits you load will carry over, but the 5$ in credits included in the plan will not carry over
why 0$ subscription
^^
thats what i mean hahah
so it seems like they carry over
they don't
yea then idk bro
this is something else
as that text says, the 5$ included is only for usage, so even if it carried over, it couldn't count towards a subscription fee
ok
but they charged me 0$ for this month of hobby
and the invoice
but im assuming
i must of somehow had more credits then somehow
that i paid for before
no clue
no clue either
