What do you guys think about Geyser/Floodgate?
So I had like 4-5 consistent bedrock players and now only have 1. I’m wondering if it’s still worth it to use Geyser and Floodgate. I heard someone say once that regarding lag/strain on CPU, one bedrock player = 3-4 java players when using Geyser. Is this true?
Is running Geyser scalable? Are there known security vulnerabilities or exploits that are more prevalent when connecting to java servers through Geyser?

I genuinely don't think the "1 bedrock player = 3 java players" thing is true
I just heard that that’s how much it strains the cpu due to all the translation of code that is going on
U can use spark to validate that claim, but unless ur having like 200 bedrock players I don’t think it matters
So I take it most ppl of this community think it doesn’t really impact performance
Yeah, and it’s not a “this community” thing. It’s just a general understanding. Also with it being such a popular plugin, you should be fine in terms of security. Only problem I see is some anticheat plugins haven’t made full bedrock support yet. But that’s more so a problem with the anticheat not geyser/floodgate
Yeah I use grim and iirc it exempts the bedrock players so they could be cheating just don’t get flagged
Just have to vet bedrock players more ig
Another thing is if u don’t require linking, bedrock and Java usernames are different so if u ban a Java player, they can just log on with there bedrock account
