Getting a partial image as a 'world map'
Im running a Java server. We have dynmap, but there are limitations to how much you can see, and screenshot. Is there a way to get a partialimage of the dynmap, like say in a 2-5k radius? If not is there another program/plugin that would allow us to render an image of the map in full?

Maybe world is not generated in that chunks which you call partial
Dynmap bad
Dynmap is like cutting ur lawn with scissors
Lawn mowers exist
Use pl3xmap or Bluemap
Figure I'd say more of a manual (no engine) push mower.
Was the only tool people could use for the longest time, and it was good for the time, but dang it sucks compared to the new stuff
Petition to make dynmap = bad canned response
its not always bad
in some cases u have no other option
modded 1.12.2
ig you could use spongeforge and bluemap
Yeah looks like bluemap for instances only goes back to forge 1.16.5
But that could also be in the canned response
don’t use dynmap unless you’re pre 1.16.5 or something like that
I dont understand, dynmap has met our needs so we just use it. Anyways, is there a way to get a high-resolution photo of a large portion of the world?
What we’re trying to tell u that there are other options that do exactly what dynmap does… just better
Use less resources, quicker, less storage, nicer ui. All the same features
And I believe pl3xmap might have a full map in a single image
A side note, are you using spigot or paper?
^ exact same kind of thing here. If you switched from spigot to paper, you realize how insanely and infinitely better paper is. But if u have only ever done spigot, u won’t even kno what u were missing, and u just mindlessly think, “spigot is great no issues”
I think it’s /map stitch
You will also see after getting pl3xmap it’ll take minutes to render ur entire world and not days like dynmap does. (Not exaggeratin)
We run on Paper, and i wasnt quite... asking for a dynmap alternative (although all the resources are much appreciated)
I'm trying to figure out how to get a hi-res image of a large portion of the map. I can technically do it with Dynmap, but we choose to not render in hi-res to save storage. That is to say, the image we get is very pixelated when zoomed in, i was wondering if there was any 3rd party program that just (for instance) takes seeds, and live generates the seedmap in detail. Or if there was a way to extract the full-res image from dynmap files.
So i would be able to get a downloadable full-res png of the map with this command if i used pl3xmap?
Well u would need to first render it with pl3xmap before you can use the command
But yeah, try it out and see for yourself
