Open Source

Hi, I am Richard, creator of ExpressoTS framework. Currently we are working in a section of our documentation called Deployment, were we want to build tutorials in various deployment services, which includes Railway service. Is there a Open Source plan, incentive to do this as part of your business strategy? Is this the right channel to talk about this? Thanks in advance, I really look forward to give more details and understand if we have this possibility 🙂

Hey there, Railway’s documentation is not open source, but you’re free to follow it to create your own deployment guide. However, I’m a bit confused by your question. Are you expecting someone from the Railway team to write a deployment guide for your software?

Hi Adam, I am talking about if there is a Railapp plan for Open Source initiatives. For instance, I am going to write a doc on how people can deploy expressots applications in Railway infra, but I can't unless I pay for it in the Hobby plan. Is there a Open source plan like free tier on AWS, or $100 credit on Azure etc

Railway has a free tier call the Trial Plan. When you make an account on Railway you will be automatically entered into it

I had one account before but it expired. Now looks like I will have to use another email account to get this benefit you're talking about.

That would go against Railway’s TOS. At this point, you’ll have to join the Hobby plan which is 5$ a month.
