Green/Fatigue trouser recs?
Looking to get more wider / straight fitting trousers in my wardrobe.
I'm coming off slim fits so my pants overton window is not as wide as some of yours.
Wanna have a go at fatigue trousers.
Low budget for now and I'll see if it's worth buying an orslow for me in the future.
<£ 100
Thinking of uniqlo bakers pants or stan ray trousers.

I would recommend you a pair of stan rays as your first fatigues
They are high-rise and wide fit overall
I don't want wide wide just yet. Maybe straight cut. I don't have enough wide tops to match
Btw you assembled a nice inspo
Nah they arent super wide
You'll be fine
These aren't that wide: https://www.stanray.com/products/og-loose-fatigue-olive-sateen-aw18
Stan Ray
OG Loose Fatigue (Olive Sateen 8.5oz)
Stan Ray’s original loose fit fatigue pant, based on the iconic OG107 military workwear uniform first issued in the 1950s. This olive pair are made from our 100% cotton military-grade sateen. OG107 was the military uniform of choice through the 60s, 70s and 80s. It has also been popularised by the anti war movement, hi
I bought the same model last year
Seconding Stan rays for your first fatigues
thanks, just kinda made it my thing now to assemble an inspo before buying anything to avoid regrets
how should I get them hemmed? if i want to also think about folding the cuffs on some fits
You should post to #inspiration this is great
Agreed with this.
still kinda building up the inspo album
i'll post when it's done i suppose
See how they look when you get them tbh.
You should go for a break if you want enough length to also roll them
like full break/half break/no break
Think you have your answer but you could also go vintage here, og-107s go for pretty cheap on eBay
If theres no break after hemming you won't have enough to roll without going very cropped
Some of the pics u posted are pretty cropped tho so up 2 u
Not so much in the UK though. Edit: deals/sizes are fewer.
Yeah I dont think there is a hard rule on hemming
true, I missed that detail
anyone here london based? any tailor recs
Depends how you want to style them
nah not really going for a high cropped was just after the overall vibe of their pic
Nice inspo! I also just bought some Stan Rays straight and they're not super wide, much like the pics. The link you posted is tapered though
just chiming in to say i like your use of the phrase pants overton window
did you get the loose og?
yeah stan ray aren't super wide
after starting to wear straighter fits and looking at old pics, i'm shocked how slim my pants used to be
awesome. they were on sale so just bought them
I bought the fat pant which I thought was regular but now I see that it's slightly looser than regular. Still not very wide though
URBAN EXCESS
Stan Ray OG Fatigue Pant (Loose) - Olive Green

Just bought these so hopefully just right for me
This the fat pant.
?
Yea
"The Fat Pant, essentially a slightly oversized, looser fitting Fatigue Pant."
Looks straight from this angle. So hopefully the loose fit is OK for me
Otherwise you might have to shift your overton window a little further
These were my reg fits
Never really wore them because they fit very weird in the waist
But I know other people didn’t have that problem
In what way?
They look good on ya tho
The waistband was the exact width of the top block
Whereas the top block usually has a bit more room? So my hipbones kept the pants in place but the waistband was loose on my actual waist
^ yeah they dont taper, compare to orslow for example
oh yeah I see what you mean
Ronning for wider fit fatigues
Worth a look
Kind of 🤑🤑🤑
how's the sizing? usual size?
just read some previous reddit threads about them running smaller than their usual size
i got 32s and i think they were an actual 32"
but they were squeezing my hips
inspo album posted for those interested
I wore mine today and got a compliment from my stylish female colleague
So fat pant = recommended
Fit pic warranted
I guess I'll wear the same tomorrow then
I know what you mean now
Just got them and they are weirdly tight below the waist band
Wondering if i should size up or just get a different style
They also feel a bit slim?
Rather than wide
thinking if i should go for these instead

At that price I'd eBay/depop/vinted some second hand orslow or EG workaday instead.
I’ve got it saved as an ebay search alert already 🥲
Pic?
It was weirdly tight in the hip so i dont know if going up a size would change things
They don't look tight or slim
Theyre weirdly tight in this area before the belt loops
I’ll try going up a Size
Sorry I read thigh instead of hip somehow lol
Maybe if you tuck your shirt for the pic it's easier to see?
But yeah if it feels too tight sounds reasonable to size up
