Trying to communicate over private network and not working
I have a service that has just private networking enabled and listens on ipv6 (http server). When I use the private networking dns associated with the service, it fails to connect.

for the first two seconds after a deployment starts the private dns resolver is unavailable, could this be a problem you are running into?
Solution
I got the issue - I wasnt running on ipv6. That solved the issue
