Should I button my blazer if I am not wearing a necktie?
I know that when wearing a tie, one should button the middle button and never the bottom when standing. What if I am wearing an OCBD without a necktie?

Cardinal button, never bottom button. If you have a true 3-button suit, you can button the top button. Which you probably don't. Doesn't matter if you have a tie or not
But you should usually leave the top shirt button or two unbuttoned when no necktie. Not always, but it usually works better.
Yeah, I always leave the top button undone on an OCBD shirt.
I do have a three-button suit, but I only wear that with a necktie. This question is geared towards blazers and sport jackets.
