can I wear 1.5in suspenders with a casual suit?
Going to a wedding Sunday that's casual and wearing a light grey hopsack suit. I've never worn suspenders before and bought some but now I'm reading that thinner is better for casual? Do I need to get thinner ones or can I stick with the 1.5in ones I bought?

Conventional advice is suspenders are underwear and shouldn't be seen so it doesn't matter. Presumably by the point you take your jacket off people will be drunk and dancing so it also likely doesn't matter.
Exactly what CFD said. Nobody should see them and/or nobody will care so rock it.

Yeah. It's a wedding, people are having a good time. Dancing at a wedding is one of those exceptions where a bunch of """the rules""" get replaced with the rule-of-cool, if you will.
