What can I layer under an ecru chambray workshirt?
Hey all!
I have this awesome ecru chambray workshirt from UW that I really like but want to start wearing a bit more.

Now, I could obviously just wear it buttoned up (and I'm looking forward to pairing it with cords come autumn), but given that it's supposedly summer, and we're still having mildish evenings, I wouldn't mind wearing it open/layered over a tee.
I'm a bit stuck on what colours would work with this though, due to how bright it is.
I did try a white tee yesterday and thought it looked pretty good - but struggling to think of other colours that may work. Heather gray? A striped white tee?
It's not a thick fabric so I think anything too saturated or dark will probably look a bit off - but maybe something more muted?

You could reverse the classic off-white shirt under a dyed denim shirt and use light blue. I think black could work but it depends how thick the shirt is and whether the black would show through the shirt I think
Some people who are more knowledgeable than me will probably give you some better answers though
dont overthink it
any non-fluorescent color shirt would look good layered under
even if there's a lot of contrast between outer/inner layer that can be a good thing
Thanks all - will give some other tees a try! I did try heather grey and thought it looked a bit off at first, but seemed to work once I got used to it.
