Love the jumpsuit being made as separates! For the suit though, if the jacket has shoulder pads, can you just take them out?

Yes, you can take out shoulder pads. Depending on the construction of the suit it might have unintended consequences to the shoulder fit, though.

Here's a $40 vintage sport coat I got off eBay that had excessive padding relative to my natural shoulder, leading to some divots

Yeah I have to take out the pads on the grey suit jacket still but I’d rather leave that to a tailor in this case because they’re sewn onto the shoulder seam Thanks everyone, hopefully people get something out of it
