Fabric shavers

I have some pilling on some of my clothes and I thought that a shaver might help to remove those. Question 1 Is getting a fabric shaver recommended and is it the proper way to get rid of these things? Question 2 How much should I roughly be willing to spend to get something that works well and isn't going to damage my clothes

depends on the kind of pilling, if its like small balls on a woolen sweater its going to work great, https://www.woollykins.com.au/cdn/shop/products/Fabric-Shaver-Before-and-After_Amy_1200x.jpg?v=1636514913 I use the Philips GC026 I bought it for 13€, I recommend it, otherwise you could maybe buy some generic model for less, I would not pay much more than 20€ for one

I messed up a sweater once by being too enthusiastic with an electric one, so I finally bought a little manual sweater comb for de-pilling. I've found it helps me be a lot gentler on my clothes while still being very effective

I think I have this one if a manual one sounds good, there's definitely also nicer wood ones too: https://www.joann.com/dritz-sweater-comb/1440924.html
