i pretty much got just the standard mods for optifine features and my game is stuck here with the latest version of iris/sodium... + reeses and extra

Indium isn't updated to work with Sodium 0.5.0 yet (I guess you are using that one since it's needed for some OptiFine feature mods)
But usually it just crashes then
Do you happen to have an Intel CPU? If yes, you probably need to update your drivers

Well, for some OptiFine feature mods like Continuity and CIT Resewn, Indium is needed when you use Sodium, and Indium isn't updated yet, so you'll have to either remove the mods that need Indium or stick with Sodium 0.4.10 and Iris 1.6.4 until Indium is updated
If better performance isn't a huge deal for you, I'd chose the latter

It shouldn't take long for Indium to update, its dev was present in Sodium's dev channel
