Hot extruder motor
Hello,
please, i have ldo pancake motor at extruder and it is soooooooo much hot. It works well, only hot. Now, iam at current 0,2 (zero point two) and it is still hot, i can barely put my hand on it after hour print.
There must be something very wrong.
Iam using PERFORMANCE setting at printer config.

I have the same issue, I use Orbital 2.0 and gets so hot that the PLA filament gets soft and clogs the nozzle before the hotend. Reducing the current seems to have no effect at all
Man, what extruder you using? I fixed mine copying the setup from the project page orbiter v2.0. with 300mA the motor before reach 120C and now running with 850mA dont reach 70C. I think that the driver registers are messing around the config
