Player joins and all online players on said server are instantly kicked
Earlier today someone who plays my server reached out and said that they were getting randomly kicked. Console says they were disconnecting. They got a screenshot of the error and its the error caused by chunk banning. I scanned their entire base and its not chunk banned. Upon investigating I discovered that their friend who was playing with them was the cause. anytime said player joins all players connected to that specific server of the velocity server are kicked with the message. Any attempts to use openinv, or other admin plugins to determine data on the player result in the same thing. I'm working on checking player data files manually but I wanted to see if anyone else has any ideas of causes or whether its an exploit.

this is a screenshot of the error. just so people don't have to look it up
looks like a plugin or datapack just accidently giving the player too much nbt
its only the one player. I went through their .dat file and their isn't anything their thats wrong
It also stopped after I deleted his .dat userdata files
Probably a book with too much NBT data
their isn't
I scanned everything
Or shulker chests full of books
end is closed
How are you performing this scan?
I manually went through the playerdata files
enderchest, and others
and used coreprotect to check for things
and neither of the players know how to chunkban
do u have a backup of his player data?
yes
and another player is now getting it as well
mind sending the one from the new one
and the old?
sure
Drop it in here
uh
the "old" one is taking a very long time to load
The full tree view, that is.
You're telling me you searched through this entire thing and found nothing?
I searched with nbtexplorer and found nothing
👀
It's still expanding the tree for me
I compared it with another players and the only difference I could find was the data that should have been different
this is what mine looks like
Hmmm
this is what mine sees
looks like something broken
click the + next to tag
alright
I know what it is
👀
The first thing I do when I see broken player data
is this
If it takes a billion years to expand the tree, something fuk'd
It'll "eventually" go through.
You just gotta wait, then you find what took 1031232 years to load, and investiage that.
ok thanks
