❔ Free tier web hosting for .NET applications, Is it actually a thing nowadays?
Hey,
I'm developing a simple app just for my college and I really wanted to use all the free resources that we have around the internet.
For example: I'm actually using CockroachDB which have a free tier version where allows the user to have 50 Million RU/Month and 10GB.
In case you get to use all the requests in the month and use all the cluster storage. You can wait till next month refresh and clear the database/cluster for more storage.
(btw: I know about netlify tho where we can upload react apps and im going to use that too)
And I'm looking for more tools like that, since Its just a project focused on education.
Anyways, please feel free to correct Im if ive said something that's not right.
Thanks!

Something like azure has a free tier; but it's pretty super shitty
yea i was going to subscribe on it but i dont have good memories using it with personal stuff... maybe i should give it a try again and bear my fears but im always open to new recomendations
I think all the major cloud providers have some brand of 💩 free. Most also have relatively low cost per month option.
In think cosmos database has an only moderately crippled option that is free.

https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/app-service/windows/
Functions are sorta like free
https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/functions/ for relatively moderately low usage; but you can also end up pulling in quite the charge if you're careful.
There's a lot of options to explore.
I don't know of any "free" hosting on commercial platforms; I think many cloud providers have a student plan.
You can look into https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/dev-essentials/ as well; it's a bit gimmicky on the "free one year" https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free as it's mostly the craptastic tier that's free; particularly the "always" free services.

damnn alright, thanks guys I will make sure to take a look on all of these
right now I making some proof tests with replit, since it seems that I can upload c# apps there and even make requests to it
but i will take a look on these they seem to be more reliable
