i have a 5k radius (10k diameter) and its about 3.5 gb
onlinemo.de
Web based Minecraft tools
u would have to at the least 4x it
oops ping
dang thats useful
yeah nice website
yea
5k to 10k radius is a 4x increase
that's big
idk if i should pregenerate cause i like downloading the worlds after the server dies
and i dont want it to take all of my disk
then you have the problem of lag when people fly around generating chunks
there's still no elytras on my server but that makes sense
ig i will pregenerate like 7k maybe when we do the end
how much does it usually take to pregen that amount in chunky
wow what a coincidence
i'm 70% into rendering my 10k world
nice
and how long has it been running
it's been running for around 30 hours now
thats a lot
obviously the speed of your render depends on your infrastructure
10k radius taking 30 hours??
yes.. i'm just 70% in
Even on a i5-13500 I did 10k in just a few hours.
i'm on the fence about whether to continue rendering, as most of my players stay within the 6k anyway
use a epyc 8654 and do it in 20 minutes :kekw:
30 is way outside the norm
😦
average chunk per second is like 10 for me
10??
i'm using enviromc premium
Are you using like
u legit get more than that on free ultraservers no joke
A heavily modified world generation datapack?
no just a normal 1.20
-.-
Or amplified biomes?
wow i must be doing something really wrong
use dev build of chunky for one
does world generation datapacks make generation slower?
i'm rendering a previously 1.19 world, which I deleted most chunks
alot
because im using terralith
well
Depends on the datapack.
true
i have many world gen datapacks
i'm only using vanilla tweaks in datapacks, I don't think I have any datapacks that modify generation
expect it to take longer than
for a r9 5950x that aint good
10 cps*
is it a difference between a brand new render and rendering a previously 1.19 world whose chunks were deleted?
Nope. Shouldn't make a difference
and obviously I still haven't gotten rid of the lag problem on my server. Pre-genning my world is just a shot in the dark at this point.
Download regions where players have said to have worked on
or just pregen and then delete unused regions using chunky trim
when server has died
when i update my server to 1.20, I asked all my players to submit their base coords so I can spare those from my deletions
what's that
is that inside chunky or is it different
yeah chunky can generate and de-generate 😂 chunks
its a command
in chunky
oh ok
good
i didnt know that existed
now im not scared to pregenerate
Lmao that's the spirit
i will pregen 50k of radius
wow lmk how that goes
probably will finish before i even finish my 10k
maybew
well
question solved thanks

430 gb worth?
damn
why not 50k on all dimensions
so 820gb
omg delete unused chunks? thats so fricken useful
hell yeah
i mean hosts unlimited nvme
imma prove that
its unmetered
not unlimited
ohh
probably
unmetered means u still have to abide by rules
If you're close to the limit ask nerd for more storage
still unmetered
not unlimited
someone should invent unlimited storage
just dig up a graveyard /j
An impossible intrusive thought of mine is making computers out of brains
It's not possible
But I would
have you tried yet
How do I connect organic analogic and digital lmao
That's how much 1s and 0s it can remembered
make everything organic and solved
Minecraft is digital
