Tebex Question
Hello, is it more beneficial to setup ban command on chargeback or is it just better to not have a ban command at all (just take away the chargebacker's perms)?

Don't do nothing. Banned players from the webshop because if too much chargeback comes in, tebex can take action against you. If you allow chargeback is up to you.
A charge back is them saying your charge to them was fraudulent. If you want to keep users telling people that you're stealing from them, that is your prerogative.
Thank you for answering. So, you’re suggesting that banning players from the Minecraft server for chargebacks is beneficial? To establish that chargebacks are fraudulent, which would decrease chargebacks? I want to ask a follow up question. How would I deal with ban appeals for chargeback? How can I identify that the person appealing is not the cardholder that chargedback?
Whether or not you ban the user from the server is up to you, I think they meant that you should ban them from the shop at the least. we ban them from the shop on our server but not from the server itself.
As far as appeals go, that is also up to you. We would just generally want to make sure that the player is genuinely remorseful for what they did or something like that, which is hard to gauge over text (unless you do voice appeals).
As for identifying the person, you can require that they provide a purchase verification number or real name on the card, or even the credit card number if you are so inclined, I believe you have access to that info on the backend so providing some sort of proof of purchase would be smart and necessary
I personally wouldn't keep a player around if they're telling their credit card company that I'm stealing from them.
Yeah, that makes sense. The appealing part just makes it a little more complicated. Cause you will eventually unban them if they appeal. Like wcash stated, it’s easy to fake remorse through text. In addition, even if they provide some sort of ID. They could always use someone else’s ID, and fake that they didn’t chargeback. Maybe another person from another country bought the rank for them and chargeback in the player’s name.
If the user bought something and then it got charged back, either the user stole the credit card or the user did the charge back themselves.
Either case, I wouldn't want them on my server.
Wait, people can’t buy for other players?
Ah, I see what you're saying. If somebody bought something in somebody else's name.
Yeah
Cause that can happen
Like if I bought something on your behalf and charged that back.
Yeah
Like you might not even know the person, and they just want to do it to grief someone
I don't think I've ever come across that.
Alright. I was just thought that was a possibility, so I wanted to guard against that
But if the chance of that happening is low, then I might as well have the ban commands
