Repo has untracked source files
Hi,
Returned from holiday and updated my RatOS system with the latest updates from RatOS v2, Klipper, Moonraker and MainSail.
Updates finished succesfully, but my Host shows v0.11.0-248-gd725dfd3-dirty as version and in the Update Manager it shows with Klipper:
Repo has untracked source files: ['klippy/extras/gcode_shell_command.py', 'klippy/extras/linear_movement_vibrations.py', 'klippy/extras/pam.py', 'klippy/extras/ratos_homing.py']
and with Moonraker:
Repo has untracked source files: ['moonraker/components/timelapse.py']
Everything seems to work fine though. Nothing shows as dirty in Update Manager
Found that this is basically output from GIT.
Is this just cosmetic, or do I need to do/change/add anything?19 Replies

Hello,
I have the same problem
LG
Michael
This is normal. It's a new moonraker feature. Works as intended.
Interesting. So nothing has to be done to solve this? Will it stay like this forever?
I've just spoken to meteyou and arksine, the untracked files warning will be removed.
Requires a moonraker update, not sure when it will release
It doesn't actually change anything, it's purely visual.
didn't have these displayed messages.... just now updated klipper and system... and now display those too! so no issue...just an observation
Ok. I understand. Does this also apply to the -dirty suffix in the version?
I just looked through those directories...those py files are all there. So as miklschmidt stated it's something in their ops.
No things shouldn't be dirty. You'll get a warning for that.
That was my thought also, but as you can see in the screenshot, it only shows dirty at the host version, not in Update Manager.
Ah that part, yeah i still don't know why that happens
For some reason klipper is in a modified state when the host process is compiled
It has to be a klipper thing, it's all done by the book
Ah. Ok. I am under the impression that that is since the latest update. Or I didn't notice it before.
Luckily I don't have OCD, so I will ingore this until a new version suppresses the untracked files 😉
The fix has now been pushed to moonraker 🙂
Check! The untracked files notification is gone.

Not solved in my case. The untracked sources are still there.
update the update manager

@miklschmidt
I've done that but the messages are still there. There are no further builds found and also system reboot does not help.
Valid for both, V-Minion and V-Core 3.1 with Moonraker v0.8.0-127 and v0.8.0-136 now.
Oh sorry, this is supposed to happen. This is an info message, not a warning.
Where is this checked?
When you click the green/blue (i) icon, it folds in. The (i) does not disappear though.
