So I just scanned the iris installer I installed about a half a year ago. I hope I don't have a trojan. I used the virustotal website.

Mods getting marked as a virus isn't that rare Some antiviruses are just way more careful than they really need to be

Well, because they might mark non-dangerous mods as viruses, for example :P If you really want to make sure, you can always take a look at the source code on GitHub, it's all public Also your Iris installer version is a bit old As long as you downloaded it from the official website, there's no need to worry

Those 'detections' are based on heuristics, which is a fancy word for "guess". It's like if you showed up at someone's house and saw a crowbar. Sure, that might be used for breaking into doors, but it's most likely used for legitimate things. Those scanners report a "suspicious" flag for those things, but it's often completely meaningless. When you see 1 or 2 AVs detect something ending in "sus" and 40 detecting nothing, that's almost always a false positive that can be ignored.

Some anti viruses just mark jars as viruses because jars used to be commonly used for viruses
