I kinda like the fabric 52 percent linen 48 percent silk from zegna... Can this be worn as a sports jacket

Looks like an orphaned suit jacket to me, based on the details - the fabric is odd though. Wouldn't wear a black sportscoat regardless
Doesn't look black to me, but photos for gray vs black can be difficult. It resolves from like 5 feet away to being solid in color with mild texture, almost like corduroy. Corduroy is perfectly fine for a sport coat, yet my gut instinct on this jacket is that it's not great as a separate.

Black corduroy is one of the exceptions, but this isn't that, it looks somewhere between that and striped, which is not really a winner if black.
It was a dark brown, in the end I decided not to buy it
If you're on the fence, usually best to not buy.
