Pants with short inseams
Any recs on pants with short inseams? I have a 26 inch inseam so it’s hard to find pants that aren’t meant to look cropped on a taller person.
Also, don’t tell me to just get my pants tailored.

Full length! For example I have gramicci climbing pants that are cropped on me but they’re just supposed to be long shorts for a normal sized person, that’s exactly what I don’t want

there is a simple, $10-15 solution that you can do at your local dry cleaner or tailor to make any pants with >26" inseam into a 26" inseam
this exact thing has been asked before on r/MFA and I've yet to hear a good reason not to just get pants hemmed

I always get my pants hemmed. I'm a ~30" inseam, which is already on the short side, and usually if I get 30", the legs are a bit long.
If I get 30 inch pants hemmed to 24-25 inch inseam it ruins the design of the pants and I like to keep the original hem or whatever it’s called
yeah, you might have a point that this is a lot of material to remove, and the fit/cut might start to be affected. I buy 32" inseam and get them hemmed, and it's fine.

But, on the other hand, some pants only come in one length -- "too long" -- and they are intended to be hemmed.
I don't know your waist size... But maybe the kids section? I honestly haven't come across anywhere that does shorter than a 28" inseam

I don't see the aesthetic point of keeping the "original hem". I've never noticed a difference in appearance. It's not hard for a tailor to match the thread and style of the original hem.
this is true, the only reason i would see for wanting to keep the original hem is with washed denim - and even with that, there's a workaround for keeping it

Admittedly, getting pants hemmed is an annoying extra step. I bought some jeans recently and the store hemmed them while I waited, so I am now spoiled and want every store to do that.

Tbh hemming will only “ruin the design of the pants” on a very small subset of pants. Is there a specific cut you’re looking for here

Agree with blue eyes that while there are pants that shouldn’t be hemmed, the vast majority are unaffected and you’d be better off searching based on the other factors that aren’t as easy to change
You can ask for alternatives to a specific thing if you find something you like that doesn’t come in a short inseam and shouldn’t be hemmed

Straight leg pants are made with everyone’s height in mind (if they are brave enough to hem them)
its not worth buying mid pants meant for short people instead of good pants hemmed

U can get Needles HDs, Evan Kinori Elastic Pants, or 7115 by Szeki. That stuff looks better on people who are not tall tbh
I buy women's elastic pants and cuff them cos I'm too lazy to get em all hemmed
