Got tons of mods? What software r u running?
purpur
viaversion/backward, skinrestorer and veinminer
on windows
Hmm. Can you send your server.properties file? So I can check some figures that may help identify the issue
I can't see 'connection-throttle:' there.. or I have bad eye sight
what's that
How long the server accepts people trying to get into the server
5-10s
Hmm well you need to find that value. It should be in the server properties
Hmm
Your sure server properties doesn't have connection throttle?
yes
purpur 1.20.1
lemme check paper config
nope
Are you using BisectHosting?
nope
self host
in the basement
using zerotier
to make a vpn for my friends and me to join
why
just port forward
That's probably the reason
isp changed new router and now it need a seperate app to port forward ðŸ˜
Your bouncing ips around which will slow down the connection process
i will try locally
so?
just get the app
it's not a big deal
not plan owner
i don't have sign in info
what router
Well port forwarding is a security issue and opens your WiFi to tons of threats
that's why you only give out ur ip to people you trust and such
Yeah never porr forward for a public server
Do you know what port forwarding means @https://vsus.app?

What app is that
Deco
we have a deco m4 mesh system of 3 routers lol
and it uses an app to control, not a normal ipconfig gateway
I see
yes
what router
toby
i was port forwarding before
shaw new router

Ignite WiFi Gateway (XB6)
It means taking down the only thing keeping your router safe to hackers for that port
ðŸ˜

what
this is stupid
Idk wats going on
@https://vsus.app you might just have to live with the 5 seconds to connect since you have a complicates setup and host yourself and idk why ur server.properties doesn't have some of the stuff it should.
ikr ðŸ˜
there's something you can try...
but .....
I dont if it's something that should be recommend
different router?
I discovered by using utorrent, you can force your port to be open if you do it in a specific way
oh
to 25565
I wouldn't reccomend. Tobycm what is your server? Is it a public one?
wdym public?
not public
anyway i'll try and get my host account to login into the app and hopefully try open the port
thx so much for helping me
You should never give out your own ip and port to everyone and only to people you trust.
why?
whitelist should be good right?
Because you have a port open, there's no firewall like there would usually be to stop hackers getting in. They can easily take your wifi and router offline and install malware on any device connected to the WiFi.
how
open DMZ and you can divide your pc to get destroyed from different sides
Bro they have your ip. You realise your ip shows your location and if you have a port open, hackers can do anything to your home network and anything connected to it.
thsye like
really old
these days ips are pointless
so what if you found my approximate location?
so what if you try to hit me offline
we have dynamic ips
csn just change it
Yeye I know it's only approx
public ip is public
I gave out my public ip multiple times before
nothing happened
Yeah but did u have a port open
yeah
yeah
this "hackers" bs
is like
really old info
end apps is what u should be worry about
not open ports
I have DMZ in my network
Never have a "Hacker" problem
And the best proxy is the third world in IP location related
