Verify heater/suspected thermistor issue

I have been getting intermittent verify heater extruder errors where multiple 5+hr prints can go normally then next print can fail and then next print is fine. Printer is rapido UHF with the silicone sock and the volcano horns. I have run PID tuning at 100% part cooling fan, while other than bridging I have had it at 50%. The klipper log graph shows a drop from 255 to 177 to 133 over 2 data point/less than a minute. I'm assuming its a connection issue with the thermistor since its intermittent and a heater cartridge issue should not cause a temperature drop that quickly. First picture is a close up of the temp drop, second is temp over the entire print showing some other drops. And the third is just after the error, restarting the printer and it holding temp at 100% fan speed. Log file was downloaded right after the failure. Just wanted to see if it seems like I need to replace the thermisister/core of the Rapido or how to trouble shoot a conection issue.
