Here are some places I visited on a recent trip to France. I'm sure they all have websites, and I assume they can ship anywhere in the EU: Cyrillus, Izac, Devred 1902, Father and Sons, Celio, Jules, Armand Thiery.
I'm not sure what merits "recommendable", but they all seemed worth checking out to me.
i classify the store as recommendable if it offers a good price-performance ratio.
i add one more
- landsend
Loro Piana.
Primark
Cos, Arket, Weekday
thanks. will add them to my 1st post. gonna add j. crew too
is j.crew in Europe?
yep, they ship to europe. https://www.jcrew.com/de/r/context-chooser
https://us.drakes.com/ does not 😦
Drakes US
Drake's | The Finest Men's Clothing and Accessories
Drake’s is a purveyor of classic British elegance. A maker and haberdasher, Drake’s handcrafts some of the world’s finest shirts, ties and accessories.
Drakes does if you don't look at the US store.

Drakes
Delivery | Drake's Men's Clothing and Accessories
We offer a range of delivery options including UK Express, Click & Collect, EU and International delivery.
nice. thanks
i dont think any of this is recommandable tbh. French eshops with a nice selection would be Centre Commercial, Rendez-vous Store, Beaubien, Royalcheese, Graduate Store, St Germain, Flâneurs, Solar MTP. Also the Arpenteur (MiFrance brand) eshop
Jcrew is overpriced in Europe
Esp. with the shipping cost and the returns. What is an alternative you can recommend
Mango, Massimo Dutti, NEXT also carried GAP now. There's crossover with some J.Crew cookie cutter styles between these.
Though the former two are more Mediterranean style than North Atlantic / cross-Atlantic prep which J.Crew evokes
Makes sense. I'm also updating my personal list from time to time. The only real brand that does cross atlantinc in Europe that I can come up with instantlly is Ralph Lauren. Although that is another price point
Pretty much why I was avoiding mentiong RL lol. Diff price bracket entirely.
Is there any brand in the bracket you mentioned in Europe that does a rugged preppy style?
Not that I know of - but I'm not that into the style
I just osmosis my knowledge from being terminally online
well. i'm looking for "normal" clothes. nothing fancy, no niche.
as a german who read on r/malefashionadvice, the problem for me was that the stores are not available in europe or just have extreme shipping costs and possibly challenging return shipping.
i am mainly concerned about the price-performance ratio.
should we divide the list into:
- never buy, because broken after 1x wear
- cheap
- mediocre
- expensive
- overpriced
This is a bit simplistic. I'm German as well and budget conscious and the last retailers shopped at were Uniqlo and Weekday
got posted on MFAsubstack.
Does anyone here know what marc o"polo is like. I have a few pieces that I like
Cant tell, sorry. r/MFA is closed. cant research

does anyone know a similiar shop like asphalte ?
I don't think this list is particularly helpful for anyone honestly
It's getting a bit long and unorganized
What if I told you it was a terrible question and was never going to be helpful?
