Real deep cut here! A friend of mine who exists outside of internet fashion space is super into Sassafras
They live the garden life
they have a sunroom thay looks like this
(behind the camera is an amaro bar and an upright bass, and behind the furthest corner is a hidden cat tree)
sassafras rules
Looks like there is also an indian womans fashion seller with the same name. How random
wow that room is beautiful
wooow I want to hang out here
move to Baltimore
lol but actually my former employer is based there, I almost did
wtf
i really wanted to buy the Digs pants but i felt a bit silly in them which is weird because i like cool pants and i like gardening and plants a lot. they were super nice in person though and surprisingly forgiving too, i didn't need an XL which is rare for me in japanese brands.
Sassafras is the litmus test I use to see if a store has good buyers
I get most of my stuff via proxy but I do like checking shops for their new stuff. These are the ones I know of, where am I missing?
Oi Polloi (rip?)
The Signet Store
Lost found
Meridian Vision
Blue Owl
Reggie Shop
Tempest Works
Takanna
Blue in Green
Kafka
Calculus
like
XT15 at Calculus for another 15% off on that right now btw
I have a garden pullover from sassafras and its one of my fave things, so many hiden compartments for garden tools snacks
i really want this but can’t find an XL anywhere
I have a pair of Overgrown Fatigue Pants I’m selling that I feel are a little short on me. But I want so badly to wear them that I’m thinking about pulling them off EBay and giving them a go. I love their clothing, funky pockets rock
I've been on the verge of pulling the trigger on a pair of pants for weeks now, but that's my concern is that they'll be a bit short on me. The inseam at first glance is shorter than I expected and I've got a lot of leg to cover.
For reference, I'm looking at a large with a 28.5" inseam and 13.5" rise
Yeah it sucks but they truly are Japanese lengths. I’m 6 feet even and for how I like my inseams to look they were just too short. Such a bummer because I love everything they make
This looks awesome
inseam does vary by style, some are longer. there's hope for tall sassafras fans!
^ yeah, the digs are cropped but I just browsed Lost and Found and Leaf Sprayers / Leaf Tough range from 31-34" on a size M.
Damn I dig the Leaf Sprayers but I love the Overgrown Fatigues which are rockin' the 28.5" inseam. I just wish there was a local stockist I could try 'em on in, but I'm also chill saving the money for now 🤷♂️
i'm very lucky lost and found is nearby, i think there's only them and calculus who stock sassafras in canada right?
most sassafras trous do fit a little slimmer than i'd like but i would probably just size up (if possible, i was an L last time I tried a pair but I reckon I may be an XL now)
Those are the only two I know of in Canada
Not sounding good for my pant proxy buys which will get to me next week
I have a chambray gardeners shirt from sassafras that I love, but I've been weary of trouser fit as well - I'm going to be in kyoto in a few weeks & I'm planning on stopping at their shop there & trying some on / hopefully picking some up
brodism (sassafras storefront) in kyoto was neat, highly recommended to anyone visiting kyoto. Got to chat with the owner a little bit, ended up getting some fall leaf pants in a nice lightweight indigo denim & a mountain research ocbd
First wear and pants fit great I'm happy to report
