❔ VB in college
I am taking an intro to computer science as required to fulfill the degree. Anyways, I probably won't be running into VB for the rest of my classes so I am just curious about the value of this short experience. I don't see myself using it again. I am curious about your thoughts.

VB or VB.NET?
hopefully the latter
because then at least you can transfer what you learned about the .NET runtime
Value of learning VB? Zero
Unless you want to work on legacy legacy applications
my professor is using it to learn the fundamentals and also learn about gui apps and such
VB.NET
I have a pretty decent understanding of the fundamentals, but haven't done too much with gui apps yet. Maybe I'll learn a thing or two in that regard, not sure.
But again, I will most likely not be using VB.NET again.
