TV is only out putting 1080 even though ps5 is on 4k
I have a a 4k mark2 elagto hooked up to my ps5 and switch with I switch between with an 4k60hz hdmi switch from iDsonix 3n1 but for sone reason even though the ps5 says it can switch to 4k output my yv when I press info button still says 1080p

set the PS5 manually to 4K
auto mode doesn't always do it
I usually do, not sure where on a TV to change the resolution
Might be helpful to share which exact tv it is

make sure it's showing up as 4K in the elgato app too
sounds like it's on auto, elgato convinced it 1080p120 or just 1080p was the better mode, so that's what the ps5 auto-set to
Ye elgato app keeps saying 1080 59 , I'm just thinking is the hdmi cable plugged into output 1080
What elgato card do you have?
I had a similar situation with my setup last week when I was doing my rewiring
May need to disable HDR entirely on the PS5, and make sure if it's forced to 4k that the rate is set to -2 instead of auto
And what hdmi switch/splitter you're using

Okay so I was mainly looking to see if it can adjust the audio profile since mine would change how the ps5 ran its resolution based on TV, 2.0, or 5.1 profiles
Listen....I dont know how fancy tvs can get these days. I have basic 1080p "smart" tvs 
It could be tv hdni wich might be a pain to take out
oh nvm simple fix i switched the hdmi from out put of capture card >.>
