proxy server joining
so i believe i configured everything how it should be. When i join using the proxy ip, it takes me to the hub server. but when i try do /server survival, in chat i get a message saying "Could not connect to a default or fallback server. Incorrectly configure address/port/firewall?"

can you send the config?
is the server running
yes
PebbleHost Knowledgebase
How to set up BungeeCord
How to set up Bungeecord! This allows you to join multiple servers together into a network.
i can't join the survival server. are you sure it's running?
been looking at that, but im still getting the issue
yeah it's definitely running
then the ports are probably closed
how do i know if the ports are closed, i set both hub and survival to offline as the vid mentioned
just so your aware survival is down
also why are you using waterfall?
afaik its deprecated
huh, turns out its not
hmm
was gonna use velocity but it wasnt making files when i started the server, and after i started it just stopped again
when it comes to this, is the hub and the proxy using the same ip?
if a server is using a free pebblehost ip, do i need to use that
nah theyre different
ic
use the ip they provide
not the domain cus thats invalid
i tried with the numbers+port but that doesnt seem to work either
or the survival is offline
you are 100% sure that survival is online right?
doing this connects to the hub, just not survival btw
tbh with you your probably better off contacting pebblehost for support since they would have backend access and would probably know what your doing wrong or what issue is current occuring
@hammy if you get a responce and resolve it outside of this thread please say what was done to fix it, more for people if they have the same issue and want to look it up
alright
gonna make a ticket with pebblehost, hopefully they know the issue
ill update here if they do
alright
lmfao
annoying, but easy enough fix
so since it wasnt connecting to the survival server
all i had to do was make a new firewall rule for the survival server that allows connections from the proxy ip address
ill mark this as solved
ohhh it was a firewall issue, makes sense. i wasnt aware you had ssh access
yea haha tbh didnt even think firewall could be an issue likek that
Do you have the plugin “Prevent Port Bypass”
not that im aware, no
but everything works fine now
Oh great
