Open Apps in same window

As the title says. Is it possible to open apps/links in the same window rather than another. I know you can make it so a search opens in the same windows but would love for my apps to do this as well. Apologies if in the wrong TAG

If I'm not mistaken, what you are looking for is this. For each app -> Cog icon (Settings) -> Edit -> Behavior -> Open in new tab
