MongoDB Volume Pricing

When using the MongoDB plugin, does it automatically assign a persistent volume that scales with the DB? If so, how can I view it's usage? (Metrics panel only shows CPU, Memory and Network). And, if not, how do I go about assigning my database a persistent volume?

currently database plugins use an entirely different system, so you are not billed for database storage though it would still be soft limited to the plan storage, and that's 100gb on the hobby plan

That's perfect. Thanks for the quick reply. I forsee surpassing 100GB once the app is deployed, what is the soft limit for the pro plan?

Awesome. Any other limitations of the database plugin I should know before diving in?

and just incase you'd like to know, pro plan gives you a max 20gb volume none that I can think of, the database plugin will get 32vcpu and 32gb of ram as well

100gb for a MongoDB database, is exceedingly large; for an application, it’s more understandable, but there’s no persistent storage so just make sure.

Really not particularly large. Worked with a transactional postgres database dealing with weather that was well over 6TB in size. Still had query responses in the low ms because the indicies were what consumes the most storage. Same with MongoDB. Data is small, indicies grow huge depdending on how many there are
