"Usage-based subscription" in dashboard. Does this still mean I only use purchased credits?
I have $10 work of credits available on my account and I believe I have correctly changed to the Hobby plan. (I purchased $10 of credits today). Under my usage tab, under "Hobby Plan", it says that its usage based. Does this still mean that it will only use what credits I have and not charge more than what I have in prepaid credits?

correct, it's still usage based, but it will use credits not card, you are responsible for keeping the credits topped up
And if I use these $10, will my app just shut off at that point?

I also have seen in a few places mention a $5 discount each month. What does that mean exactly? Does it mean that that goes to the $5 per month to access the Hobby plan?
(It also mentioned on this page that "Monthly usage will be billed to this card", so I was just wanting to make sure that it wouldn't charge outside of the credits that I have, but it sounds like that wont be an issue)
5$ discount just means you get 5$ of usage included with the cost of the hobby plan
So it will pull $5 from my credits each month to pay for the hobby plan, and then it won't pull any more until I have used $5 of usage?

and there you have it, 5$ for the hobby plan will be subtracted from your credits each month
Another question I have is, if I don't have credits when the month begins, will it charge my card?
So basically, my card should never be charged for anything since I purchased credits? The only way my card will be charged is if I add more credits?
correct, no charge unless you initiate, you do get a 3 day grace period too!
Gotcha, so if my new month began on the first, it wouldn't shut down until the 4th unless I add more credits
