Verified in June but now unverified
When the new pricing was announced in June, I immediately checked my verification status, and it was green and said verified (Developer Plan). Now, when I was asked to go to the dashboard,been and I checked my status, it says unverified. I have tried to find an answer here and am still unclear what to do. Some people seem to have be re-verified by switching to the hobby plan (I get the banner asking for the switch). However, in the original announcement, it said that verified Developers would be automatically switched to the Hobby Plan. As I have to take action and enable the switch, does it mean I am no longer verified (so, also no discount)? It would be great to receive a clarification on this. Thank you!

Thank you! I clicked the button and made the switch. It says now:
"Hobby Plan
You are only billed for what you use minus a $5 discount every month. You have 3-day grace period to pay for your use"
in the billing section, so I understand the discount was still applied....

With the plan changes, there were multiple criteria associated with having the fee waived.
With the new plans, moving to the hobby plan will no longer require verification of your GitHub account.
If you click the button on your dashboard it should present you with a Modal explaining what will happen with your account upon upgrade, as far as the fee. You will have until August 1 to actually request the plan switch before it happens automatically
