smaller x/y min/max vs bed size for z-tilt
wondering about the effects of bed min/max being far smaller than Z screw positions.
I'm wondering if the z-tilt comp will work properly if/when the bed min/max for meshing is far smaller than the zscrew positions are EG: 200 bed size bed in a VC500 frame.
will RO still correctly add/sub z-tilt correctly?

Yes, bed mesh and z_tilt are independent of eachother. Z-tilt points don't matter either as long as the pivot points are somewhat correct (the location of the bed balls).
tnx @miklschmidt what I was concerned with was z-tilt position points being well outside the normal range of params of bed dims, vs where you config the screws to be for the z-tilt calcs.
I don't think i understand? There are 2 parameters:
z_positions
(pivot points, ie. your bed balls. not your leadscrews), and points
which is where you probe, those naturally can't be outside the bed dimensions. The z_positions can be outside the bed dimensions, that doesn't matter, they just need to match the physical pivot points in virtual space.@miklschmidt You got it, you understood what I was wondering. It was the premise of the 'range' of the difference in the z_positions and probe points interaction I wanted to validate would not be of concern for my intentions. tnx
Ah gotcha, yw 👍
