Strange LOD level distribution
Hello ! I'm having trouble understanding what i'm doing wrong with the settings of DH. Basically, some parts of the distant map is looking quite detailed, while some others will look very poorly detailed, even tho those two chunks are at the same distance. It seems to happens mostly with tree leaves, and they look like trunks with 3 leaves on them. Will include a screenshot of my current settings, also as a screenshot of the said problem in game 🙂 Have a nice day !

are those leaves in the middle of the picture passthough?
essentially detail level appears to be consistent across the pic.
does the poblem apepar for those trees right away when you leave real rendering?
are those 2 pair 4 different types of trees or only 1 per pic
ok... wait a sec, had problme with attachment
did oyu change setings about which blocks should be avoided?
Not at all
or added a mod that makes leaves passthough
ah ! yes
What i dont understand tho, is that it was working perfectly until now
basically we remove grass and flower to not apepar as full block
here's a perfect exemple
On the right it's how it used to be everywhere, on the left is how it's now
to do so we made it so any non full or passable blocks are removed
So any way to fix it or not ?
you can change the "blocks to avoid" setting from "both" to "not full"
it will still look different as tall grass will now be saved
(and of course you need to revisit those broken areas)
oh god !
yes it's working again T_T
in 2.0 it's a bit different and might not be an issue as it seems that in TFC (where the problem was the worst) it works as intended by defalt
While i'm here, is there a way to "force update" a chunk ?
simply visit it
Sometimes visiting it doesnt update it directly, for an example say i break a sugar can, the LOD version of it will stay in the LOD chunk for a while
that's becasue with some mod combinations chunk updates (that we also listen to) are suppressed (I think sodium does it)
essentially that means that if you destroy sugarcane and leave the area it will stay, but if you enter it again, it will be fixed
oooh okay so basically i have to revisit the area a couple time. got it
Well, thank you !
