Is railway slow to respond to requests ?

I've made a migration of an app from Heroku to Railway. It uses websockets and I feel like it takes way more time to get answers on my app since I'm on railway. I am on developer plan. Is that possible ? Is someone having the same issue ?

its possible you are geographically further away from railways current only region us-west1, and that heroku had a datacenter closer to you, generally speaking the further you are from the datacenter the longer requests will take

Oh ok I see, thanks for the answer Are you planning on setting up in Europe ? I really love your services and it would be great for my apps

yes an EU region would be on the roadmap, current ETA for any new regions is August, but that's just an ETA

@Brody where do you see the ETA with August? If this was updated, please update the roadmap as well https://feedback.railway.app/feature-requests/p/configurable-deployment-region
Configurable Deployment Region | Feature Requests | Railway
Currently only West US is Supported. Would be great to have a EU location as well
